Organizational Behavior Importance
To meet productivity objectives, managers must understand the importance of organizational behavior (OB). There are few guaranties in the study OB. This fact is probably the reason that technically minded managers have difficulty understanding it's importance. They prefer hard-driven facts that will support a black and white answer. Productivity is greatly controlled by individual behavior. It is a mistake for a manager to think that he/she can ignore this aspect of business. Understanding Maslow's Heirarchy of Needs is a good place to start in evaluating how satisfied needs ultimately improve productivity. This paper will focus on the OB principles of motivation, management behavior and the interpersonal skills required to foster productivity.
