Pollution harms our environment adversely without us realising the devastating
repercussions it brings along with it. Ironically, man has inflicted these effects upon
himself while trying to improve living standards. Pollution can be caused in many
ways, and the three basic forms of pollution are air pollution, water pollution and
noise pollution. Once again man is the cause for these pollution types.
Though this situation can be eliminated due to the advances in technology,
it should certainly be prevented from recurring.
First and foremost, vehicles release carbon monoxide and exhaust fumes
which pollute the environment. These gases in turn upset the balance of
nature as there is a lack of oxygen to stabilise the excessive amount of carbon dioxide.
As a result, we have less oxygen to breathe. Moreover, the carbon monoxide content
is a poisonous gas which is colourless and odourless that can cause brain damage
and paralysis in children if they are constantly exposed to it.
In addition to this, the greenhouse effect also endangers living organisms...
