One of the most controversy topics today in the felid of science takes place in the form of genetic engineering and transgenic organisms. These two topics have been rushed into our society without even being tested the proper way. So many are trying to say that they are unstable and should never have been brought into society at all, or so quickly shown to the public. Also the major corporations who are funding the resources for these projects say that they are perfectly safe and will benefit many farmers and the Third World hungry problem.
Genetic engineering and transgenic organisms has been broadcasted into our society through a series of experiments performed all over the world in the field of agriculture. There are also many terms to refer to genetic engineering and transgenic organism such as biotechnology and genetech. One of the most known company in the field of agriculture is Monsanto, who became widely known to the public when they debut Bovine Somatotoropin as in BST milk, which was their first genetech creation. The purpose of this experiment was for the cow to make 25 percent more milk. They did this by injecting the Bovine Somatotropin hormone into the pituitary glands of the cow every two weeks. This put the cows well being in danger, also the well being of the people who drink the milk...
