A Midsummer Night’s Dream Believing one’s eyes can be a dangerous thing. A person can’t always see something and believe it, it must be felt with the heart. This movie was a perfect example of seeing and believing. The characters didn’t really feel in their hearts true love toward the people they saw when the spell was cast on them, they saw only with their eyes the outside beauty. There can be many misconceptions through the human eyes and Hermia, Lysander, Demetrius, and Helena all experienced some with the “magic love spell” which was cast upon them. However, the true love they had for one another ultimately triumphed, and they were with the ones whom their hearts truly loved. The nature of reality can be a little deceiving sometimes, yet give a wide awakening. Hermia had to face a terrible reality; her marriage to Demetrius or her death. Reality is a really hard thing to face sometimes, but it has to be done and there are ways to overcome it just like she did.
