Early Religions
Early religions such as Zoroastrianism, Taoism, Jainism, Confucianism, and Shinto all contain very complex schools of thought and beliefs. Many of their beliefs relate to each other, and you can even see aspects of these religions in several modern religions.
All of these religions were formed in the early years of humankind, approximately 2500 years ago. In those years, ideas of philosophy and religion were not very organized or popular. Several people, through deep meditation and religious revelations made profound and earth-changing discoveries. People such as Zoroaster and Mahavira realized that higher powers did exist, and many religious founders made strong philosophical statements that changed the lives of many people. This is an amazing feat, because these religious revelations were made almost 2500 years ago, when people's ideas about religion and human nature were not very advanced.
One of the first religions was Zoroastrianism, which was founded by a man named Zoroaster. He mediated for many days to find the truth about religion and higher powers. It was Zoroaster who proclaimed that there were not many gods, but only one higher power...
