Lost in the Woods
Everyone has been in a situation where he knows where he is, what he is doing, but still seems to become lost. My experience happened when I was seven years old, in the woods near my house. The forest seems to linger in my mind still to this day. As a young boy, I would travel , usually not far from home, but some days I would sneak off a bit further than I was allowed to. Now this would be fine since I knew where I was, but this occasion was quite different. After some time while I was hiking around the sun started to set and I was left in the dark. I was swallowed by the endless night, the forest choking me with the entangling darkness. The woods that night was darker than I had ever seen the woods before. There was no moon or stars. The sounds haunted my mind; sounds of trees creaking, frogs croaking, and the wind whipping through the leaves...
