(a) Describe Christian attitudes towards abortion
'Thou shall not murder' (Exodus 20:13)
This is one of the commandment in The Holy Bible. And Christians think by having an abortion you are breaking this commandment. Christians believe that it is God's and only God's right to give or take life and by it is believed that abortion is taking a life. In the Christian religion there are many branches of the Christian church. The Roman Catholic church being the strictest and the Protestant being the most lenient. In the Catholic Church under no circumstances can abortion be accepted. But in other branches of the Church in special circumstances abortion can be granted permission.
No actual bible teaching mentions the word abortion.

Life begins at conception - the foetus is a human being with human rights.
All bible teaching on human life also applies to the foetus - especially the
commandment (6th) 'Do not kill'...
