Introduction:
As Adam Cameron, programmer for Camp Happy Valley in London Ontario, it has been brought to my attention staff moral and attitude has dropped significantly from previous years. As a direct impact of the employee's lack of enthusiasm and pessimistic outlook toward the camp, children who have attended Camp Happy Valley have not experienced the quality nor outstanding excellence the camp has to offer. There have been many complaints and criticisms from staff, campers and parents, which need to be addressed promptly. The poor moral in Camp Happy Valley's staff has had such an extreme impact on campers, it had been reported infirmary visits had been at an all time high. I believe making drastic changes to Camp Happy Valley's training processes, method of hiring, and distribution of funds will greatly improve staff's outlook and therefore eliminate all problems.
Change of Training Week Date
In previous years, Camp Happy Valley has designated the super staff training to begin in the first week of June. This is a definite problem for Camp Happy Valley as most super staff members are attending highschool at this time. This conflict of dates may result in staff not attending many of the important workshops and training sessions. Also, having the training session during this time may result in exhaustion and stressful attitudes, as students would be forced to balance their time between Camp Happy Valley and school work. Combining the training week with the regular employee's training session during the end of June will improve the staff's attitudes as they will not have to worry about balancing their time between attending Camp Happy Valley training sessions
and with studying for year end exams...
