A Man for All Seasons Essay
In every play there will always be a villain and a tragic hero. There can be no
conflict if you do not have a good side versus bad side. Now you have a play named
A Man for All Seasons. Sir Thomas More, the leading role character, will go as far
as risking his life so the laws of the bible will not be broken. He sticks to his beliefs and
mounts every obstacle until his flaw of trusting the wrong people, turns out to be his last.
Sir Thomas More dies to be known as a tragic hero. His life was sacrificed because of
his flaw to fight by himself versus a group of cowards.
Sir Thomas More believed King Henry VIII's intention was to divorce and
remarry to obtain a male heir. A pope already gave King Henry a dispensation against
the bible to get married to Catherine and More is strongly against breaking the bible
twice. More is loyal and noble to the religion of Christianity and is not afraid to object
Henry's request of a divorce...
