attribute that improves student motivation is the ability for the teacher to be flexible in their lessons to the students and to move in a direction to keep the students engaged. Students who believe that their teachers are more flexible in lessons gain higher intrinsic motivation (Rehmke-Ribary, 2003 p. intrinsic). When a teacher has respect from his or her students and the students look up to that teacher, the next step is enthusiasm. When a teacher can become enthusiastic about a subject, this will most likely cause the students to become curious and interested. This includes engaging curriculums. In the Classroom When it comes to lesson and curriculum, there are many things a teacher can do to improve motivation in his or her classroom. The first thing a teacher should to is become familiar with the students and get to know their individual learning needs. All teachers need to understand that everyone learns differently. Doing different activities often to facilitate learning in all the different types of learners is important. Because not everyone learns the same, a teacher should take one lesson and split it up in to an auditory activity, a visual activity, a hands-on activity, and an activity where students can move around while they learn.
