A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks is a love story. Landon Carter is a popular guy in high school. Jamie Sullivan is the shy daughter of the town's Baptist minister. Landon would never think of dating Jamie. Jamie asks Landon to be the lead part in the Christmas play the theater class does every year. He says yes, so that he would not hurt Jamie's feelings. They spend more and more time together and their friendship grows. Eventually they fall in love.
Landon notices that Jamie is getting thinner and looks sickly. Jamie finally tells Landon that she has Leukemia...
