Stylistic Aspects The stylistic aspects of Baroque music represents peoples emotions, by this it excites the listeners. The instruments were of deeper bass so the register was lowered in the harpsichord and organ. The main keyboard instrument of this period was the harpsichord, with strings stretched on a wooden frame. Unlike a piano, the strings were plucked, not struck. The wooden frame limited the tension that could be put on the strings, which limited the volume of sound they could function properly. Force applied to the strings was constant, so the player could not control the volume of a note. The use of dynamics (changes in volume) was impossible. There is a lot of choral music that adds to the harmony. It has a fast harmonic rhythm, and the bass supports the melody.
