Ten Reflections
1. The Chapter in which Ali though the dog out the window really upset me. It upset me in that it is sad to picture a dog being thrown from a moving car. He through the dog out the window because he was tired of it whimpering. That is very disturbing because it shows that the culture has no patients toward anyone. The dog in a way is symbolic to the lesser people in the culture. It is symbolic in that if the upper class (Ali) gets sick of members of the lower class they dispose of them like Ali did to the dog.
2. In the first chapter you see a prime example of men controlling the women. In the first chapter Sultana steals an apple because she is very hungry...
