Is marriage more than a piece of paper?
I think not. Marriage over the last decade has been portrayed as a joke. People do it because they think it is a natural part of the progression into raising a family or extending the family tree. In certain countries the courts think ADULTRY is a joke and laugh it off. However BIGAMY is still a jailable offence. Therefore it is "only" the piece of paper that makes the difference. A tramp is laughing if she does not marry, but imagine if she had to marry every guy she slept with. She is then liable to prosecution for BIGAMY. In reality when the majority of partners marry they lose half of themselves to their partner, and gain a little character called JEALOUSY...
