August 2003 Nutritional Newsletter. ( lifepak, cordymax, cholestin, and tegreen 97) With the introduction of the Pharmanex Biphonetic Scanner the benefits of supplementation can now be measured. The machine sends a harmless laser over the hand and light changes colour depending upon the amount of antioxidants in the tissue in the hand. This information is then sent to a computer from which you are given a score from 1000 to 90,000. Pharmanex used 1375 employees of Nuskin Enterprises to determine how lifestyles effect these measurements. from 0 to 90,000. 0-10,000 very weak system. 10-17.5 thousand weak 17.5-25 marginally weak, 25-35 moderate defense, 35-45 good defense, 45-55 thousand strong defense, 55-90 optimal defense. They found that people who smoked measured very low and scored 34% lower than non-smokers. People who used lifepak the pride and joy of Pharmanex’s antioxidants measured 61% higher than people who didn’t take lifepak and was comparable to people who had 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day. Women scored slightly higher than men but the scientists assumed that was because women ate more fruits and vegetables than the men ( women 2.34 a day and men 2.03 servings).Asians scored higher than other races. Again this was attributed to a higher fruit and vegetable intake 2.59 servings a day. Now my main interest in all of this is how fast do people with cancer lose antioxidant levels and can this be measured predictably. Another question is how effective is supplementation with lifepak and tegreen 97 in keeping the antioxidant levels high.
