There are many principles of government that have promoted freedom under the Constitution. Three of them are flexibility of the constitution, federalism, and rule of law. These principles are the backbone of today's society and government. Without these principles, people would not have had the freedoms that they are lucky enough to have today.
Flexibility is the Constitution's power to adjust to changing times and many world changes. This was instituted under the Elastic Clause. The Elastic Clause stated that certain powers of the national government are not stated which allows Congress to make laws that are considered necessary and proper.
