Mongol Rule in China

The Mongolian man who ruled China and did very well was named Kublai Khan. Chinese and Mongolians did not mix well together and I will talk about how. Even though many thought Kublai Khan was a mean man, he did want foreign trade. I will also talk about Marco Polo, also a Mongolian, who brought back many wonderful things for Venice. Even though a Mongolian ruled China, in my opinion he did it very nicely.
The Mongolians and Chinese people lived apart and obeyed different laws. The Chinese government had high government officals and tried to serve on a local level, while Mogolians government gave rulers the highest posts and foreigners also. Even though the Chinese and Mogols were different they had a very able leader named Kublai Khan. This great leader restored the Grand Canal, extended 135 miles north to Beijing, and paved a highway. You've might of thought that since Molgol and Chinese people were so different the empire would have fallen but t only made it stronger and powerful...
