Every action has its consequence. This consequence can be beneficial or terrible. The play Macbeth by William Shakespeare demonstrates what the consequences can be for villainous acts. Macbeth, along with Lady Macbeth, was responsible for many evil deeds which led to justifiable consequences. The main theme of the play Macbeth is that when malevolent acts are committed, there is always an equally dreadful consequence.
One example from the play that supports this theme is the murder of King Duncan. The main character Macbeth heard a prophecy which said that he would be king. This got Macbeth thinking. He plotted to kill the current king, Duncan. He committed this crime because he was selfish and wanted to be king himself...
