V"is set during the 12th or 13th century in Japan. A woodcutter, a priest, and a homeless man are sitting in front of a destroyed wooden fortress gate and they are talking about a very horrible incident. The priest seems like he cannot believe the evilness he has heard of. The homeless man really wants to know what is going on, so they tell him. They tell the story of how a husband and wife who were attacked by ^W} in the forest. ^W} is a highly known bandit it that area. It turns out that the husband was somehow killed and the wife and ^W} have sex or the wife was raped. Everyone had a different story to tell about the incident. The movie kept going back and forth from the gate, forest, and the court area.
^W} says that he fought like a courageous warrior and killed the husband...
