How to pull a wheelie
Maybe you have seen your racing heroes wave to the crowd while lifting their front wheel up in the air in a demonstration of skill and guts, while the crowd gasps in appreciation. Or maybe you want to really learn and appreciate the advanced aspects of motorcycle riding. Or could it simply be you want to impress chicks?
Whatever the reason, the wheelie is the base and starting point of all stunt riding. Never before have there been so many variations on a single stunt. For example, once you have mastered the standard wheelie, you can try a one handed wheelie. Then maybe a no legged wheelie. And then if you are feeling confident and slightly suicidal, you could try something along the lines of this:
Before we begin, it would probably be a good idea to talk about the ideal choice of bike. Needless to say, practicing on your brand spanking new R6 is probably NOT a very good idea. A much more suitable bike for learning to wheelie (and perhaps the ideal bike for performing this stunt) would be a 250cc 2-stroke dirtbike...
