The problem of the term “racism” is that it can be misused very easily. ... It is extremely easy to label somebody to be a racist; such accusation is very hard to disprove. ...

It is, therefore, very doubtful whether they really carry out their functions the way they should. ... Does perhaps the “king” expect the journalist to write a positive article when refused an interview with such a dismissive answer? ... They are here not less at home than the Czechs. ... When I asked an Englishman living in the Czech Republic why such precautions had been taken, I was told that the British are afraid of a great immigration wave. ...
Even if these views were true, wouldn´t it be a better solution to the immigration issue to make such conditions which would make the misuse of the local social security system impossible? ... This essay was partly also my reaction to the recent journalistic fashion to describe Czechs abroad as racists. It is easy to say that Czechs are racists; it is easy, too, to pretend that the problem of racism does not exist in this country.
