INTRO
Light is form of energy visible to the human eye that is radiated by moving charged particles. Sources of light are different in how they provide energy to the charged particles, such as electrons, whose motion creates the light. If the energy comes from heat, then the source is called incandescent. If the energy comes from another source, like chemical or electric energy, the source is called luminescent.
SPEED
Light is the fastest thing known to man. Scientists have defined the speed of light to be exactly 299,792,458 meters per second. Or 186,282.396 miles per second. It travels 3% faster in outer space. It travels 28% slower in water...
