There are many stands held on abortion. There is a huge contrast between the liberal and the conservative view on abortion. The conservative opinion is that terminating a pregnancy is only morally right if keeping the baby endangers the woman. The liberal idea is that terminating a pregnancy during any term is perfectly acceptable. Anne Warren’s argument for abortion is that ‘a woman has a right to protect her health, happiness, freedom, and even her life, by terminating an unwanted pregnancy.’ She condones this by concluding a foetus at any stage of the pregnancy may be a human being but is not yet a person with distinct characteristics and qualities.
