The American Heritage Dictionary defines the word anarchy as: absence of any form of political authority; political disorder and confusion; absence of any cohesive principle, such as a common standard or purpose. To the common everyday person anarchy is considered to just be "chaos." And yes, to the common everyday person this seems like a terrible idea for any people of the world.
The term anarchy does in essence mean lack of a government; but that doesn't mean chaos. Any true anarchist in their right mind would tell you that you're absolutely wrong about the American Heritage definition of anarchy, that being a "political disorder and confusion." The true anarchist way is to help one another. Anarchy, just like communism is for the common man. Propaganda is what makes the idea of anarchy a ridiculous situation for most Americans. Corporate America, along with its leading politicians, states that the only true way is through a democracy.
