Effects of Media Violence
It's the afternoon, the time of day when schools are still in session. People in a local neighborhood are at home when they hear sirens going past in the direction of a local school. After five minutes the sirens are still coming. The neighborhood starts to wonder what is going on and heads in the direction of the sirens. They find themselves at the local school. They inquire about what is going on, and to their shock they find out a couple of students had weapons and started shooting people. In the eastern part of the country news hits that someone was shot and killed, but there is no trace of who committed the crime. Later that week some one else is shot and killed, and then again a couple days later. It appears the killer is a sniper, and has no motivation behind the killings. Is it possible that these events have the same motivating factor?..
