Leadership Style: Factors Internal and External
Factors internal and external can greatly influence leadership style in an organization. This basically can make or break an organization. Managers who show great leadership style and compassion for their subordinates can run an organization in a fun and friendly work environment. This makes a place that employees want to work for and definitely do what their managers ask of them. When a manager boosts an employee's confidence by praise and rewards, it makes the employee respect the manager.
On the other hand managers who run an organization through fear is a sign of weak leadership. Destructive narcissistic managers are can cause many problems in the organization. Destructive narcissistic managers characteristics are grandiosity, a sense that they are entitled to have whatever they want, including willingness to exploit others to get it, and lack of concern for and devaluation of others. (1) Other traits are a lack of enduring attachment to a set of values and an inner emptiness that leads them to seek excitement despite high risks.(1) This leads to employees feeling stressed out when working under a destructive narcissistic manager...
