Hello, my name is ***, and I am here tonight to gain your support for the vacant Senior Class President position. I am a senior majoring in *** and I have just completed my degree in *** in December 2003. This is my fourth year at ***, and I have always enjoyed being very involved in campus activities. Over the past few years I have held several campus jobs, serving as *** and serving as a ***. I have also served as my sorority vice president and as committee chairperson for my *** scholarship. I feel that being an involved student is an important aspect of university life, and it helps to give back to the university community. These are a few of the reasons why I would like to serve as the Senior Class President.
For those of you who do not know me, you may be wondering why I am a good candidate for this position or why you should chose me to fill it. In order to walk into such a large position such as Senior Class President in the middle of a year, it is important to have a person that is dedicated to the job, but is also experienced. I definitely have experience in SGA, that I feel will help me make a smooth transition into this position...
