In the professional world, is what you stand for just as important as how talented and competent you are to carry out the functions of your job? My career field is Sport Management. A strong professional philosophy is imperative to carrying out the functions of my job successfully and with honor and dignity. Professional philosophy is a statement that is created to express to your clients what you believe is most important between the company and the clients. Quite often a mission statement that states the goals of the company to carry out for their clients follows this. A professional philosophy or a mission statement cannot be created until the profession has clear and precise definition of what they do and who they are.
