The working relationship between Holmes and Dr Watson
In this essay I will be discussing the relationship between Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson. Sherlock Holmes is a detective who was around in the early 19th century and he had an assistant called Dr Watson who is the person who takes the orders from Holmes. When Holmes is on a case he thinks ahead and knows what to do the whole time even though he guess sometimes he likes to be right and he does not emit that he guessed.
In the book the Hound of the Baskervilles, Sherlock Holmes knows everything that is happening to and around him like the person in the cab following Sir Henry. He sends Watson with Sir Henry and Holmes said he was on another case in Devon but really he is closely watching them both getting ready to bounce to catch the killer and save the day. So in this you can see that Holmes uses Watson and Watson was told what to do again. Holmes did not trust Watson enough to tell him what Holmes was going to do so again Watson was treated as second best. Sherlock Holmes takes cocaine sometimes to give him ideas or to help him think because in those days it was not illegal.
Sherlock Holmes was usually late in the mornings for breakfast, because of the most frequent occasions when he used to stay up all night getting ideas and thinking how to solve the crime. Watson is very much more punctual and you can, see from this one bit that Sherlock Holmes loves to make certain that he is right and if he wont get it he will stay up all night...
