JOHNNY TREMAIN
The novel that the class read is Johnny Tremain. It took place in the year 1773 in the city of Boston. The theme of this book was that you can do anything if you try really hard. And the other theme is to stand up for your self. The novel's central idea was that Johnny had a bad hand so he could not do the things that the other kids could do, but he helped his country by getting information about the British. I think the author wrote this story for the kids to see that it does not matter if you have a physical problem you can still do important things. I think the most important thing to remember about the story is that you can do things that you want to do if you try.
One of my examples is about Johnny. In the story Johnny was training to be a silversmith. His enemy Dove cracked the pan which Johnny makes the silver and burs Johnny's hand...
