1. GENERAL Project Management, Construction Management and Contractors Management are fully accountable for communicating, training, implementing and auditing the THE PROJECT Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) requirements as embodied in this contract to ensure compliance and performance. 2. RULES The following safety rules and fundamentals will be strictly enforced to ensure the safety of all stakeholders involved with the THE PROJECT: 2.1 Zero Tolerance The Project Safety Management is founded on OTTO principles ˇV ˇ§zerO Tolerance, Target zerOˇ¨ which means stop work that is unsafe. This approach to safety requires an absolute adherence to standards at all times and an intolerance of unsafe acts or conditions. 2.2 Personnel Competency All personnel must be competent in the work they conduct. Safety induction training will be required for all personnel. 2.3 Risk Assessments Work place hazards must be identified and risks assessed before activities commence on site. 2.4 Daily Work Plans Work control plans must be in place to ensure adherence to the principles of Zero Tolerance and assessed risks. 2.5 Management of Change Hazards and risks must be reviewed whenever processes, people or natural circumstances change to ensure that unacceptable risks to Safety, Health and Environment are prevented.
