The movie was set in the year 1982. The movie is around 21 years old, but I believe that it has not lost its appeal, as shown by the excited shrieks and laughter from the class.
The story line is quite simple. A boy named Elliot finds a stranded alien in his backyard. He names the alien ET and decides to hide E.T. in their house and shares "this" secret with his brother, Michael and sister, Gertie. The children try to teach E.T. some human ways and they learn about his abilities to move things...
