Mirror The Lipstick on the Mirror

Both of these poems have a mirror. In the poems the mirror reflects the appearance of the person in front of it back to them and also reflect their thoughts. The mirrors have no thought of it's own. They are almost like cold-blooded killers. They kill you with your idea look of yourself. They show you what you really look like and sometimes it gives you the feeling of hatred, the hatred for yourself. Then people also look into a mirror as if they are searching for someone or something. Someone or something that was lost as they age. Lines 16-19 of "Mirror", an old woman goes to the lake and looks into it and tries to find her youth. Even thought she never finds it, she continues searching each day...
