The young people of today, and some of the older ones, say that they do not trust
the politicians. They give this as a reason for not voting , and yet they moan and
complain about how our country is ran. The less people pay attention to the way our
country is ran the easier it is for the elected officials to take away our rights.
Right now, gun lobbyist, in Washington D.C. are trying to take away your
constitutional right to bear arms. Our forefathers put that in the constitution just in case
we had to take up arms against our government, like they did against England. They
are trying to take it away because of the violence in our public schools and in our inner
cities.
The next thing they will try to take away is our right to vote. Some of those people in
Washington will decide that if you miss voting in several elections that you do not need
the right to vote...
