At some point in their early history, the Greeks began to attribute human characteristics to their gods. Statues of Greek Gods resemble ideal human beings, graceful and majestic. In character and temperament, too, the gods were all too human, sometimes appearing jealous, quick tempered, self-centered, even treacherous altogether ungodly.
I like the god Hermes because he seems like he cared for others whenever he had to deliver someone a message. He also guided the dead souls to the underworld. I think he did some pretty cool and interesting things. He even aided some gods on special quests, because they said that he was a genius. Hermes even invented the first lyre when he was a young boy. Hermes was said to be the most helpful god to mankind. Hermes's symbol of office as the divine messenger was his staff, or caduceus...
