Abstract
Every day organizations make many important decisions regarding their products, processes, and services. The goal of this project, Decision Analysis and Project Planning, is to investigate and produce a report of a feasible regression model to enable the company to make predictions on the amount of sales they will make each month.
1. Introduction
The Manager of Tincroft Oils has heard of the term regression and understands that it can be used as a means of prediction. They would like to be able to predict how much heating oil they are likely to sell each month based on the figures given.
He would like to know if it is feasible to create a regression model using the data in Fig. 1. However he is not familiar with regression so this report will describe the process used to create this model and also explanations of how it was created. Printouts will be included to support any findings and recommendations.
