. In the Amy we are required to report for formations for several reasons. The most basic of these formations is for accountability of the troops in the given unit or section. A unit, section or squad is made up of individuals that live separately and are not always in contact with on another so formations are set on a specific time an date to ensure that all soldiers are present and available to keep the unit at the most prepared status should they be needed for a mission. Being on time for these formations is important because in the Army today the missions are divided up to several units to accomplish a mission. One unit has to be able to count on the other unit, section or squad to accomplish a combined mission. When a element of the mission is missing the mission might not be able to be completed if one of the required elements is not present. This also can take up time and other unit resources to locate the individual that is not on time at the location that was set up. In the Army today we are willing to use these resources to ensure the safety and the well being of he soldiers were count on to accomplish a mission. The resources that we will use to locate a soldier depend on the severity of the situation and the mission that is to be accomplished. A phone call will take care of most of the problems and locate the soldier most of the time..
