A COMPARITIVE ESSAY ON JESUS AND BEOWULF
The dictionary defines a hero as any man noted for feats of courage or nobility of purpose. Those are a few words that represent so much in many people's lives. Beowulf and Jesus are two well-known historical heroes who were brave, loyal, and kind.
Beowulf was a very brave character. In the final battle with Grendel, for the first time in his life, Beowulf, "fought with fate against him, with glory denied him" (724-725). However, he raised his sword and stabbed Grendel, despite the consequences. Another person who showed amazing heroic bravery was Jesus. Before Jesus's crucifixion, the soldiers were looking for him.
