Times will change, but people will perpetually remain the same. In life there
will always be a story to tell about those who genuinely have good intentions and
those who are evil in their ways. I especially came to realize this after watching
the story-line of the movie "Cruel Intentions". This film deals with an assortment
of emotions, who ultimately led to making and breaking different characters. The
two main characters in this movie and even some of the supporting ones are
extremely cruel and emotionally sick people who get their kicks out of
using people.
The film "Cruel Intentions" is a modern version a famed 18th-century novel,
called Choderlos de Laclos's Les Liaisons Dangereuses. This novel before
"Cruel Intentions" had been adapted three times, with the most recent version
being "Dangerous Liaisons." The main characters in this movie include Sebastian
Valmont and Kathryn Merteuil, who are two deceitful step-siblings who are part of
the high society in Manhattan. These two characters amuse themselves
by playfully flirting and bragging about their different sexual conquests. Kathryn
quickly gets bored of her multiple boyfriends but the unexpected happens when
she is dumped by one of her boyfriends for a 15-year-old named Cecile...
