An Unforgettable Trip
Last year around Christmas time, my church group traveled to Gatlinburg, Tennessee for a winter retreat in the Smoky Mountains. Staying away from home and learning to live with twenty five other people make you appreciate your own home so much more. This trip was a fun and unforgettable experience.
Our group stayed in an enormous house on top of a hill with a wonderful scenic view. This house had nine bedrooms with only two bathrooms. Downstairs was a huge living room, dining room, and kitchen. The entire inside of the house was beautiful.
There were mostly women and girls on the retreat, and two bathrooms aren't nearly enough for fifteen females to share. Every morning was a struggling fight between us over who would get the showers first. What we didn't know was that the preacher's wife would wake up before the crack of dawn and take a prolonged, hot shower, which caused everyone else to take ice cold showers...
