Fahrenheit 451 is a fiction novel about what the world would be like in the future. As it turns out, Fahrenheit 451 is becoming more and more like a nonfiction book in many senses. The society in the novel has numerous similarities of our modern day American culture. Ray Bradbury, the author, predicts what the world would be like in the future, the future for his time period and for ours as well. The civilization Bradbury describes is very much like the one we are living in now. Some of the similarities of our culture and the culture in Fahrenheit 451 are that in our society, which is becoming more and more technologically advanced, individuals are demanding things to become faster and faster. As with the society in Fahrenheit 451, everything is available instantly. Another similarity in our society and the society in Fahrenheit 451 is that things that may have been considered dangerous and uncommon, such as murder, is becoming an everyday thing in our society, and was even more routine in the Fahrenheit 451 society. A third similarity between the two worlds is the idea of the censorship. The American society and the Fahrenheit 451 societies, both have issues of what is right, and what is and should be accepted in the world...
