Ok, lets just grossly oversimplify the matter, and assume that there are only 2 kinds of guys. Nice guy and Jerk.
The jerk is probably more aggressive, and more likely to have more sexual encounters. Thus, they have more of a chance of spreading their genes.
The Nice Guy type is the kind that would be more likely to stay with the woman to raise a child, and less likely to stray. (I.E. find some other woman and leave.)
Ok, evolutionarily speaking, the woman's goal is to spread her genes.
What is the best strategy for doing this?..
