In the course of redefining the role of the electric guitar in rock/metal music, JOE SATRIANI has sold more than seven million albums the latest of which is "The Electric Joe Satriani - An Anthology" which was released on November 18th 2003 and his previous album "Strange Beautiful Music" was released on June 25th 2002. He earned six Grammy Award nominations. Before his solo career took off in the mid-'80s, Satriani was a Bay Area guitar teacher whose students included Larry LaLonde of Primus, Kirk Hammett of Metallica, and Steve Vai. His remarkable professional career began with Zappa in 1980, through his work with David Lee Roth, Whitesnake and others.
