Jackie Robinson dreamed of a world without racism. He believed that all men were created equal, and should be treated the same no matter one's differences. His Beliefs where first sparked back in 1942 during World War II where Jackie was stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas, after being denied entrance to Officer's Candidate School because of his color. His fury leads him to become a strong civil rights advocate. He quoted, "The right of every American to first-class citizenship is the most important issue of our time." His dream led him to the major leagues where he was the first African American to play baseball in the MLB.
Jackie was driven to break the color line and managed to play baseball where no one thought he belonged. After being accepted to play for the Brooklyn Dodgers in the major leagues, Jackie was determined to play not only for himself but for his people. Since the day he walked into the dressing room, Jackie was had balls thrown at his head, death threats and many other forms of abuse being directed towards. Yet he continued to play with the interest of his people in mind...
