Background of the study
Among the various uses of computer graphics, the most interesting, exciting and challenging would probably be in the field of animation. Animation literally means 'giving life to' something. It is defined as a sequence of drawings which are slightly different from the preceding one so as to create an effect of motion when filmed in rapid succession. In computer animation, it means to 'give life' to images for films and computer generated displays with the use of computer graphics.
Through the years, computer animation has rapidly evolved. It started with very simple methods coming from traditional animation and geometry like keyframes. It was in 1895 when a Frenchman by the name of George Melies came up with Stop-motion photography also known as the frame-by-frame technique. This technique was discovered by accident while he was filming a street scene in Benal Street and his camera jammed.
