Family, friends
Our family are not known for their ability to stand in front of more than 2 people and talk. Fortunately, or should I say unfortunately, Asher has inherited Liana's talking genes. However, on this occasion it is my honor as Asher's father to try and give him some words of wisdom that I have gleaned from my years of experience although we all know there is no point as 13 year old boys know everything. But anyway here are a few things that he may not know. First, there is nothing wrong with 70's music, you are never too old to play computer games, too much tequila is bad for you, everything to the right of your left earlobe is out of bounds for piercing and finally under no circumstances, no matter what any one says, mullets are never fashionable.
No, seriously, tonight we are here to celebrate our son, Asher's Bar Mitzvah.
Now, we know what a Bar Mitzvah is but what is to be "Bar Mitzvah" ?
I did a search on the internet and came up with page after page of entries for caterers, venues, themes, gifts, photographers, speech-writers (I think I could have used one here), bands, etc. None of these could explain what it is to be "Bar Mitzvah". From the bits and pieces that I did find its when a Jewish boy turns 13, reads from the Torah and you have a celebration (preferably using the caterers, venues, etc from your search)...
