Dear Mr. Myles:
I am enclosing a check made payable to Kalamazoo Public Schools for money that I would like to donate specifically for the production of the Kalamazoo Central 2003-2004 yearbook. I was told by Gary Start's KPS Business Administration office that I could make this check as such and submit it with a formal letter directing how the funds were to be spent. I understand that the yearbook staff and Mrs. Sayre were in need of this money to help with the production costs due to a budget shortfall in the school system.
Please accept this money as a gift to help with the completion of the yearbook. Also please note that I would like the entire donation to go toward this endeavor.
I would also like to request that you direct someone on your staff to generate a receipt and send this to me either through the mail or one of my children, Sarah or Sam, who are both attending KC.
I hope this money can go toward ensuring that Kalamazoo Central turns out a high quality yearbook this year.
