How important for Christians is the concept of sin in describing the Human Condition?
Sin is the word used to describe evil and suffering that is going on in our world. It blames humans for sinning and tainting the world. Sin is also given the definition of self-centeredness and separation from God which has become more and more prominent in recent years.
Although sin is the same thing the definition changes on its course throughout the Bible. In the Old Testament sin is used as a collective term in which we all do it as a whole. The people of Israel were seen as those who were chosen by God to be "perfect people" who did not sin, as they were the holy ones.
In the New Testament sin is a totally different thing. Instead of it being a collective term it has changed to a term that involves only one person. Sin is now all about people being selfish and being so caught up with man that they separate themselves from God's love...
