In the late eighteenth century a new revolution was forming, not a revolution for
liberty or equality but a revolution in industry and the economy. The Industrial Revolution started in Great Britain and quickly spread to America and the European mainland. The reason it started in Great Britain was because it had an abundant labor supply, large deposits of coal and iron ore and capital available for investing in new industries (sources p. 104). The Industrial Revolution started to replace the effort of humans and animals with the use of machines. The revolution changed the way goods were produced and labor was organized.
