What do we know of war? War is violent. War is both a righteous idea and a cruel initiative depending on the intent of the aggressor. One useful definition of war is an actual, intentional and widespread conflict between political communities (War). The question of the hour seems to be what is a good reason to go to war? Whether or not to go to war is one of the oldest philosophical dilemmas. Freedom, morals, and expansion have all been causes for war in the past.
